Still alive and kicking :)

I know it has been a month since I posted on my blog. It has been tough in the past few months to find something worthy of posting.

I am hoping, after summer, things will settle down and I’ll spend more time on the site. Who knows, maybe Blackberry Application Suite will finally be out by then

Evernote and Twitter integration

Evernote is one of the best software I use daily for taking notes. It supports Windows, Mac, Iphone and Windows Mobile devices, along with a mobile site. Now it is getting better, by integrating into Twitter. So you can simply send yourself a note via Twitter.

Now if only they would come out with their BlackBerry client, life would be perfect :)

Sems.org has been running on a new server for the past two weeks. And I thought I have checked everything. But it turns out, old comments system and posting entries (which did not affect you readers) was not working. My apologies :) , if you need to comment on an old post, feel free to do so now.

I am sure most of you have heard about handsets supporting dual sim cards. That way you can have a personal and a business number in a single device. There is also a similar option using two lines in a single SIM, popular in Europe.

Now to add to the fun, dual IMSI supporting SIMs are coming out, most I have seen are from global roaming SIM providers, such as united-mobile.com or geosim.co.uk. These SIMs can connect to separate networks to provide better coverage as well. The ones I have seen carry a US and a UK number and effectively all incoming calls are free in US and most of Europe. Great news for

Microsoft Live Mesh and Vista SP1 Install Errors

I thought I’d try the Microsoft Live Mesh again. I haven’t used it since its Technical Preview.

The beta install starts, then it uninstalls itself on my Vista SP1 box. The first error was a "Class not registered" 80040154 error. Interestingly, it turned out it be related to Windows Firewall. I had it turned off and stopped its service.

Once I started the installation, install gave another error, this time an "8007007e The specified module could not be found." error. Oddly enough, if your IE connection settings is not set to automatically detect, you receive this error. Once I set the IE to detect connection settings automatically, installation went

Intense Debate Comment System

I am implementing a new comments system, which will allow all of you to follow comments easier, as you can get notifications if a new comment is posted to a thread and ability to reply to comments via email. The old comments are staying, but I’ll be locking them shortly.

If you experience any issues, please post a comment to this
